Vision Statement: 1for3 envisions a SWANA where communities are able to flourish in health, education & food and live in peace with justice, dignity & freedom.
We Are Growing
1for3 (a 501c3 organization) provides Palestinian refugees with resources & technical assistance to improve their lives.
2013-2017: When started in 2013 the focus was on aiding residents in 2 UN-run camps to have better drinking water. Through unique programs of testing & advocacy problems were fixed & people were healthier.
2017-2021: In 2017, 1for3 added to the water program 3 others -- food, health, education. Through them work was started on house-based gardening, community healthcare for chronically ill patients & training in medical skills for young people. Together, they were designed to provide specific solutions to community-outlined problems.
2021-2024: During COVID 1for3 expanded Health 4 Palestine, its community healthcare program. Then, a kindergarten, Zahrat Al-Yasmeen, which now has places for 75 children, was started. In food, training community members to use hydroponic growing techniques, locally manufacture & distribute micro-growing towers & building 3 hydroponic gardens started.
2024-2026: Despite the horrific genocide in Gaza 1for3 is continuing to expand. The kindergarten added another classroom. The health program launched 2 initiatives in trauma & pediatric care to match existing work in hypertension and diabetes. Finally, the food program increased training & support for growers in other camps.
